Statement: ‘Rule Clarification’

neo16The organisers of the Neo16 event, held 25-28th March at Harper Adams, UK would like to issue a statement specifically clarifying rules on tyres – use of any ‘tyre additive’ at this year’s event is strictly forbidden under all circumstances and ‘tyres must be commercially available at the time of the meeting for immediate purchase’ – in accordance with 2016 BRCA rules.

On site student rooms and camping are now bookable for Neo16!

The rooms are single en suite student accommodation and are supplied with towels & bedding, limited kitchen facilities.
Situated about 60m / 200ft from the track hall – these rooms are ideal for a weekend of racing, easy access and proximity.

Cost is GBP 35.00 per night per room or Camping (per tent or caravan /motor home) @ £10.00 per night

Neo Buggy & DXR are pleased to officially announce Neo16 entry is open!

The 11th anniversary of the Neo Race organised by NeoBuggy & DXR sees the event run on it’s classic Easter weekend: 25-28th March 2016. This year’s event logo once again kindly designed by Maugrafix.

The Agricultural University Harper Adams in Shropshire continues as the venue for the event, once again a 4 day event – running Friday – Monday. The event’s capacity has been slightly increased in size with the Modeltune.com sponsored E-Buggy class making a return – limited to 45 entries, the main Nitro Buggy class is limited to 270 entries.

Qualifying will use 5 minute heats comprised of 5 rounds followed by bump up finals for all drivers, The Neo Race’s popular signature exhibition events return with a juniors final, oldies final, the Dash4Cash and Last Chance Qualifier.

The organisers hope to once again welcome some of the finest 1/8 Buggy drivers to attend this prestigious annual event – it is open to anyone to enter.

Practice Heat listing posted

The Practice heat listing (Nitro | E-Buggy) is now available for download. (Updated)

We remind all drivers to read through and note the Drivers Guide!! Booking in opens 16:00 on Thursday until 18:00 and will continue Friday morning. Don’t forget a pit towel.

Some notes for arriving drivers:

– The Neo Race will be using Mylaps RC4 Decoders at the event.  This means all AMB/Mylaps transponders will count, however  if you run an MRT it may not be RC4 compatible so you may need to change it for an RC4 compatible one for this event.

– British drivers please bring your valid BRCA license.

– International drivers, please remember that the UK uses 3 pin plugs, so if you plan on charging anything, bring an adapter!

– The race meeting will be run to rules based on BRCA RallyCross rules.

– A maximum nitro percentage of 25% is allowed

–  For the 1/8 ‘Modeltune’ sponsored E-Buggy class, only Hard case LiPo batteries with a maximum voltage of 14.8V [4S] are allowed.

– All LiPo batteries must be charged in a LiPo Charging pouch / Bag or risk immediate disqualification.

– We wish to remind all drivers, especially those staying onsite that the event is held on private property, observe etiquette, enjoy your time however the organisers and college’s representatives reserve the right to exclude anyone from the event and/or premises accordingly.

Location: For Neo first timers, Harper Adams lies just outside the small Shropshire town of Newport, the event is held in the university’s soil hall, follow the signs inside the grounds and you’ll find us! We recommend that you have a look where we are before you set off!
